As per devaprashna held on various occasions, the main sanctum sanctorum have almost 800 years old. Royal Soldiers were the ancestors of this temple. The Pradishta was Goddess Bhadra. Nagaraja , Nagayakshi, Karinagar were also devoted in Sarppakkkavu. But on a certain occasion due to improper management the temple got destroyed and Devi Vigraham was kept in a hut.
As per the devaprashna held by the new generation , the temple reconstructed and done the pradisha of Goddes Bhadra, Lord Sree Mahaganapathy, Lord Ayyappa and other Upadevathas.
According to the Ashtamangala Devaprashana , the temple reconstructed with chuttambalam and made pradishtas in 2010
